“The mission of Food Not Bombs is to recover and share free vegan or vegetarian food with the public without restriction to protest war, poverty and the destruction of the environment. Each of our over 1,000 groups is independent making decisions using the consensus process. Food Not Bombs is also dedicated to taking nonviolent direct action to change society so no one is forced to stand in line to eat at a soup kitchen expressing a commitment to the fact that food is a right and not a privilege. With over a billion people going hungry each day how can we spend another dollar on war?”
Minneapolis’ local Food Not Bombs chapter is active once again! Come out, see live music, and learn about the cause.
We will be accepting $5 donations and various non-perishable food items. There is a special need for rice, beans, herbs, and spices, but anything VEGETARIAN or VEGAN helps.
