Noah Hoehn returns to the Aster Café to release his first solo album, NOAH. His journey began at the Aster with his Kickstarter campaign kickoff concert to fund the album. Now the Aster will play host to his first solo live-looping performance of the songs in the Twin Cities.
Noah is a classically trained percussionist and an accomplished harmonica player as a three-time winner of the prestigious McKnight Fellowship for Performing Musicians. His unique looping show has been featured on Minnesota Original and his dynamic performances have been described as “One part Keiko Abe, one part Little Walter, and one part Eddie Vedder.”
NOAH speaks to his spiritual attentiveness and social sensitivity. What stands at the end are a family of songs whose traits are that of classical music, world beats and traditional blues that some have dubbed “new blues” and “marimba pop.”
