The Scott Wooldridge Trio is playing the Aster Cafe, 125 Main SE Street, Minneapolis, on Oct. 29, in a show that will be the official Twin Cities release of a vinyl single and the Trio’s new video.
The single, a joint release between Minneapolis resident Scott and his other project, the Milwaukee, Wis.-based Wooldridge Brothers, features one song from Scott’s 2015 solo album and one from the upcoming Wooldridge Brothers album. The single went out to many of the supporters of the WBs and Scott’s Kickstarter project, and will be for sale at the Aster show.
The new video is also of a song from the solo album, “Give It To The River,” and features Sloan Hamilton on mandolin and Josh Braun on lap steel guitar. The self-produced video was shot along Minnehaha Creek and the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. It is one of a series of videos that Scott has released in support of the solo album.
Also on the bill at Aster Cafe will be Kerns and Shelly, a Minneapolis duo featuring top-notch songwriting, off-beat subject matter, and high-energy harmonies.
The show will start at 9 pm, cover is $5.
