“Before Others, Yourself Forever!” mixes a bit of insanity with bittersweet heartbreak and queer empowerment in White Boyfriend. The Minneapolis-based trio gently brushes political messages over whimsical harmonies and interesting basslines, told in tales of Minotaurs and long nights.
