When Joni met Ricky Lee for a walk on the Wild Side. Hannah is pure original artistry – excellent technical execution, subtly wrapped in silk, cashmere and gauze, with enough leather to keep things interesting.
A Minneapolis singer-songwriter, her original compositions are passionate and evocative, and her guitar work is crisp, articulate, and more than interesting. She was joined by Charlie Smith (piano) on a couple tunes, and by Carlos Monserrate (drums) and Julian Leeds (bass) for some lovely trio work.
