Twin Cities favorites Dan Newton’s Cafe Accordion Orchestra return to the Cedar for their annual concert on Saturday, January 9. The genre-hopping quintet is known for their fresh take on the classic Parisian Musette and Gypsy Swing repertoire, but they don’t limit their musical horizons to any one style. CAO draws inspiration from Finnish, Mediterranean, Brazilian, Mexican and American sources and injects all their music with expressive abandon and passion for performance. This year’s concert will feature a preview of the band’s 10th recording. Concert goers will be able to pick up a voucher for a discount price on the new record to be redeemed after the album’s release, later in 2016.
