A little dark, Julyda intertwines strong vocals with some very cool instrumentation. Just imagine a dark folk soundtrack to the pre-apocalypse.

The fun part about this 365 days of local music deal, is finding music you have never heard of before. The Blacksmith’s Daughters is quite the hoot. I can see this group appealing to a broad audience, young and old. They have another band as well called JulyDa which is more rock and a little bit darker. We’ll have a track from that next month when they release their Debut EP, June 9th at The Warming House.
Oh, and the cool part, the name isn’t just to be smart – their dad is an actual Blacksmith.
