Article – Keep Your Eye On The Prize!

By Rich Horton

First of all, let me start off by saying I can safely say that I am disheartened by the recent political climate. I won’t go into too much detail about my politics, but let me just say I feel we are going backward as a country if the powers that be continue on their awkward path. Continue reading

By Rich Horton

Driving into work back in early January, I was going over an idea in my head, how the music industry is changing, as is all industry and business. For some reason, the David Bowie song “Changes” came into my head.  Couldn’t have been more than 30 seconds later, they announced on the radio that Bowie had passed away, and that song played for the news item. The Unicorn Art Show

From The Facebook Event Page –

Once upon a time, there was a magical night when all the princes and princesses of the Twin Cities gathered round to gaze upon the majestic beauty of the Unicorn. Long have been the years since this legendary eve, but the time of the Unicorn has come once again! Over 50 artists have come together in a group exhibition comprising various mediums and expressions in honor of the Great Horned One. If you missed the original Unicorn Art Show due to dragon slaying, troll kidnapping, or snow demons, have no fear! This is your fabled second chance. The spirit of the Unicorn has drawn together another group of artists from the magical kingdom of the Twin Cities, who are joined in their tributes by artists and craftspeople from kingdoms far and wide throughout the country. Their magical beasts shall preside over another night of fantastical art, aerial acts brought to you by Dragon Power Fitness, and a live performance from Late Century. This joyous occasion is sponsored by NEMAA, Draft Horse, and the Casket Arts Building’s First Thursdays and hosted by Leg Up Studio.

Don your best prince or princess attire, or masquerade as any magical creature you desire; enjoy mystical potions at our enchanted beverage station, get your face painted, get covered in Henna, and enjoy the wonderful food truck Gastotruck.Join us and revel in the sacred homage….
