Straight ahead alt-country and folk rock music. Minneapolis songwriter Jimmy Peterson has played and sang in several local and regional bands including Bellwether, Missing Numbers, and 757s over the last 25 years. Of late, he is performing with Steve Sutherland and Josh Christenson.

Sal Inski is a singer, songwriter, and inventor. His songs have been recorded by national artists and his music was most recently featured in Steven Soderbergh’s “Red Oaks” series streaming on Amazon.

His patented Harparatus allows him to experiment with electronic harmonica soundscapes in accompaniment to his acoustic guitar and vocals.

Rift 36 Hour Songwriting Contest

Next Wednesday, the songwriters get a prompt and have just about 36 hours to write a song and have it ready to perform on Friday night.

Nigel Egg will be hosting/performing and these fine songwriters will be performing as well.
